I already took real analysis, but…

So, I’m going to math camp currently. I vaguely remember most of what we’re doing, but going over it again is never bad. Also, the problem sets are always different from what I’ve done previously. Good practice.

But being here early and making contact with the professors and other students is a good idea. If you have the option of going to your grad school early for math camp and you won’t be missing out on anything big in your original location, then do it!

Yeah I agree with Aaron. No matter how much math you’ve had in the past, you should go to math camp. Not only is it a great way to meet professors and students as Aaron said, but you can help out the other weaker students in the class, who may be able to help YOU later in some of your classes. A kind of “you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours” take on things.

In fact the math camp reminded me to redo some learning like optimization. The optimization is really very important in econ. We used book” A first course in optimization theory”. I like it! I found I am a little weak at differential equations so I am working hard on it before the formal classes begin. Fighting~~~
